Daily performance! |
The "anti anti
Terror barrier protest" theater |
|
Players: Palestinians and
other violent protesters (disguised as peace activists) |
|
Producers: a co-production of AP and Reuters |
|
|
The
daily performance of screaming and kicking civilians, well staged for an
international forum of cameramen (working with license of Arafat),
suffered today from some "bloopers", of which Take a Pen thinks they throw
some light on how the media cooperate with the Palestinians in creating
theater like dramatic reports.
|
In
the picture below, Reuters reports that the Palestinian woman
lies on the ground in front of bulldozer after Israeli soldiers stopped
her from protesting. The conclusion too easily made by the innocent
reader may be that those soldiers were guilty of having this woman lay on
the ground. |

However under the next picture, published by the other producer, AP,
it says that the Palestinian villager throws herself to the ground
in front of Israeli soldiers. |

|
So no Israeli soldiers stopped
this woman by pushing her to the ground (as hinted by Reuters), her
laying on the ground is part of her act, as AP reports. Bad
coordination, guys!
|
The next time you see report of
people laying on the ground, you may ask yourself:
"Is this a true event or was it
setup by friends of AP or Reuters?" |
